My name is Peter Nothnagle. I have been helping classical musicians to make recordings for nearly thirty years. My specialty is making compact disc recordings of early music on historical instruments. I also have made many recordings of 19th, 20th, and 21st century music, as well as music from other traditions, from Tibetan sacred chant to Javanese gamelan.
My background combines early music performance and electronic music composition. Thus I think I bring technical mastery as well as creativity and imagination to the process of making recordings.
I have made nearly 300 commercial recordings of many well-known as well as emerging artists, and my recordings have been published on major as well as specialty labels including Virgin, Naxos, Centaur, Dorian, Wildboar, Albany, Profil, and many others.
